The first Apple Watch Memorial Day deals are starting to arrive, a more than a week before Memorial Day. Truth be told, that’s not entirely unexpected. Some retailers, including Best Buy and Microsoft, have already kicked off their Memorial Day sales on select products — so if you’re on the hunt for a shiny new Apple Watch and want to have it on your wrist ahead of the big day, then look no further than these fantastic Apple Watch deals.

The best offer we’ve found so far? That’s easy. Amazon has the Apple Watch Series 3 for only $179, down from $199. Best of all, given how cheap it is, it’s unlikely the price will slip by a whole lot more come Memorial Day — if by anything at all — making it a fairly safe purchase. The retailer has also discounted the latest Apple Watch Series 5 by $20, bringing it down to $379. Just keep in mind that the discount is applied at checkout for this one.

How To Choose An Apple Watch

With multiple options for you to pick from in 2020, choosing the right Apple Watch is not as easy as it might have been a few years ago. Six generations of the Apple Watch have been released so far and three of them — the Series 3, Series 4, and Series 5 — are on the market right now.

The Series 5 is the newest 2019 release (and is actually the sixth generation model despite its name, as the first Apple Watch was not numbered). It’s the latest, greatest, and most feature-rich; and as you would expect, it’s the most expensive with a starting price of around $400 for the basic models. There is no denying that the Apple Watch Series 5 is an early perfect wearable, though, so if you want the best and are willing to pay for it (and the above Memorial Day Apple Watch deals should help with that), then it’s easy to recommend.

The Apple Watch Series 4 is in kind of a weird spot between the Series 5 and Series 3. It’s not much cheaper than the Series 5 (meaning that it’s quite a bit more expensive than the Series 3), but that isn’t to say that it’s a bad buy. The Apple Watch Series 4 was impressive in 2018 and it’s impressive now. That said, we only recommend the Series 4 if you want some upgrades over the Series 3 and can find a worthy deal on it. If not, it might be a better idea to spring for the Series 5.

More Deals

The 2017 Apple Watch Series 3 is the oldest WatchOS wearable that is still on the market, and Apple has kept supporting it for a reason. It’s an excellent smartwatch that has aged well. While it lacks some of the updated features of the Series 4 and Series 5, the Apple Watch Series 3 is about half the price (or less) of the newer models — you can often find the brand new Series 3 going for less than $200, which is an incredible value. If you’re after a solid Apple Watch deal, you’re on a budget, and you want to get the most bang for your buck, the Series 3 is the one for you.
